My name is Todd Yerks aka CT Todd. I have been a member of the Colchester Club since 2014 and a Barn Leader since 2019. My hunts are spring and fall of each year and are 8 day hunts which works out to 7 1/2 days hunting. The last afternoon is reserved for cleaning the van and barn (all help) and packing up to prepare for the 6:00AM trip to the airport the next morning. We are in the field from about 7:30/7:45AM until 5:00PM or so each day rain or shine. We break for lunch and possibly a field change at Noon. We don’t leave finds to go find finds.
I supply all breakfast items; cereals, coffee, and juice. I supply all lunch materials; PBJ, sandwich meats, bread, drinks, chips, biscuits and sandwich bags. You are responsible for making your own sandwiches each day. I will either cook one evening meal or take the group out to the chip shop. We eat out on the other nights. The group chooses where. I provide all transportation once you get to Heathrow Airport.
We are a fun group and love a good laugh. We just don’t do drama. We don’t do politics or any other crap from home. If you can’t have fun and enjoy other people and their finds, we just don’t need to have you along. When you fall on your face we will check if you’re ok and then laugh at you.
If you find gold you’re buying a round at the Pub. I do give a preference on booking to past group members, but I maintain a list of people who want to go. Every year there are some new faces.
